Floating licenses allow ABViewer to be used on multiple PCs within a corporate network. License management is handled by CST Floating License Server, which is provided free of charge and is installed when floating licenses are purchased.

The number of computers that can run ABViewer simultaneously is limited by the number of purchased floating licenses. When the software is launched, it connects to CST Floating License Server and checks out an available license. As a result, the number of available licenses on the server decreases. When the program is closed, the license is returned to CST Floating License Server, and becomes available for other users.

CST Floating License Server supports the following Microsoft Windows OSs:
