 According to the type of needed information ABViewer has various methods and instruments of getting it. In this chapter you'll find information on the ways of getting information directly from the drawing.

 

File Information

Getting information about the current file: the path to the file, the date of creation and changing and so on. For CAD files it contains information about the version of the format, active text and dimension styles etc.

2D Structure

Viewing of the active file contents as a tree-like structure.

3D Structure

Viewing of the active file contents as a tree-like structure. Allows turning on/off elements visibility, provides the user with information on both each object and the group of objects.

Search through the Drawing

Commands for the quick search for a certain textual information according to given criteria or secrch for a point with given coordinates.

Measuring in 2D

A group of tools for measuring drawing elements in the 2D mode. Allows measuring distance, area, perimeter and angles.

Measuring in 3D

A group of tools for measuring in the following display modes: 3D Wireframe, 3D Hidden lines, 3D Smooth shading and 3D Flat shading. Allows measuring the distance between two points, radius, area and overall dimensions of the surface in the XYZ space.
