Properties panel
Properties 
button on the toolbar or [View > Properties] menu command shows or hides panel Properties. It is dockable, resizable window that contains a list of entity's properties and allows changing them. Double click on the panel's title bar displays the Properties panel in a separate window that you can position anywhere you like on your desktop.
Properties panel is available in Editor and Redline modes.
When starting to work with editing tools Editor and Redline, Properties panel allows making necessary default properties. This properties will be applied for every new entity by default: Color, Linetype, Linetype scale, Font Height and Font Name:

- if no one entity has been selected.
- some entity has been selected.
- several entities have been selected.
| • | Drop down list Color allows to change: |
| o | By Layer - selected entity(ies) assumes the color assigned to the layer on which entity(ies) was created; |
| o | By Block - selected entity(ies) assumes a color of the block which this entity belongs to. |
| o | Select color - calls Select Color dialog box: |
| • | Layers drop down list allows selecting current layer. For HPGL files this list views available pens. When it is necessary to create new layer (pen), use menu item CAD Files > Show Layers. |
| • | Linetype drop down list contains available line types for currently loaded file |
| • | Linetype scale - this value is used for non continuous linetypes. It defines scale factor for dashes and dots in the line. |
