Attribute Definition

Text button on the toolbar or Draw -> Text menu item allows drawing an attribute definition (respective mode should be selected).

On the toolbar, click .
Left click over the image.
Enter text in the Attribute Definition dialog:

The following example describes how to use attributes.

When pressing OK button on the previous step the following text line arise:

to add blue rectangle (set color using Properties panel):

to select both entities using Ctrl+A keys or mouse cursor (Clip Rectangle button must be inactive - free state):

to copy selected entities in to the Clipboard - press Copy [Ctrl+C] button on the toolbar or select Edit -> Copy menu command;
to paste entities from the Clipboard as block - press Paste By Block [Ctrl+Shift+V] button on the toolbar or select Edit -> Paste By Block menu command:

Thus attribute draft with Apartment tag became full-fledged attribute within the block.

Every block attribute is available for editing by its contents - through the Properties panel, and by its placement:

to move mouse cursor inside of the block and to perform a single left button click selecting the block and its entities;
to place mouse cursor exactly over attribute marker, to press and to hold left mouse button, to move cursor on the right:

to release the button:

Properties panel allows defining attributes as special symbols:


Editing block attributes using "Edit attributes" dialog

Block attributes are available for editing through respective dialog box. Please follow the instructions to enter editing attributes mode:

to use left mouse click for selecting a block;
right mouse click and to select Edit attribs item in the arisen popup menu;
to perform necessary changes in the Edit attribs dialog:

Style parameter allows selecting one of the available text styles. Also text styles list is available by CAD Files -> Text Styles... menu item.

Point may be changed by the following ways:

to enter new coordinates by (X;Y;Z) format and to press Enter key; if entered values are incorrect coordinates get Zero point;
left click in the respective point coordinates field and to press arisen on the right button; the following dialog arise:

Edit point dialog:
oto enter new coordinates and to press OK button for saving changes;
oto press Select point button; both dialog boxes disappear opening a drawing, left mouse click on the drawing for a new insert point.
