Dimension Style

Dialog box Dimension Style contains settings for new or current dimension style:

There are three available tabs:

•	Lines and Arrows

•

Text

•	Primary Units

LINES AND ARROWS

Section Dimension Lines - defining color, line weight and viewing order for extension lines.

Section Extension Lines - defining color, line weight and viewing order for extension lines.

Section Graphical Image - this picture which views changes dynamically (it is common for all tabs).

Section Arrowheads - defining view and size for dimension arrows, defining leader view.

Section Size of center mark/lines - defining size of marker.

Text tab

Section Text Appearance - defining text style, color and height.

Section Text Placement - defining vertical dimension text placement relatively to the dimension line and defining a distance to the dimension line.

Vertical alignment:

•	Center - a placement of dimension's text in the center between extension lines.

•	Above - a placement of dimension's text over dimension line. A distance between dimension line and base line of the lowest text border is equal to a current value of Offset from dim line parameter.

•	Outside - a placement of dimension's text near the extension line on the side which is the most distant from the first definition point.

•	JIS - a placement of dimension's text accordingly to the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards).

PRIMARY UNITS

Primary Units tab

Section Linear Dimensions - defining precision and measurement scale.

Precision - defines a number of digits after comma.

Measurement Scale - defines scale parameter for linear dimensions. It is not recommended to change value by default - 1.000. For instance: if this parameter is 2, then dimension 1mm will be viewed as 2mm.
