Tools menu
Tools menu consists of the following sections:
| • | Modes  drop-down list: |
| o | Viewer - this is main viewing mode. ABViewer works faster in this mode then the others modes allow. It provides features and viewing options such as zoom, panning, 3D rotating, printing etc. |
| o | Editor - this is main editing mode for ABViewer. It allows creating and editing new CAD file, or editing previously open CAD file and saving changes into AutoCAD™ DXF file format. |
| o | Redline - this is additional mode, which allows ABViewer creating, editing and saving Redline files. |
| o | Distance [Ctrl+D]  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Distance] menu command provides measuring the distance between two points on the drawing. |
| o | Polyline Length  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Polyline Length] menu command provides measuring a length of the polyline sections on the drawing. |
| o | Area  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Area] menu command provides measuring of the area on the drawing. |
| o | Trim menu command cuts off white border around raster images. |
| • | Grid [Ctr + G]  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Grid] menu command switches on or off a grid on the drawing. Parameters of the grid can be changed on the Editors tab. Right click over the Grid icon in the status bar calls the following pop up window: |
| o | Grid [Ctr + G] - switches on or off a grid on the drawing. |
| o | Grid options... - opens Editor tab of the Options dialog box which allows changing Grid parameters. |
| o | Snap to Entities  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Snap > Snap to Entities] menu command switches on/off snap to entities mode. |
| o | Snap to Inserts  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Snap > Snap to Inserts] menu command switches on/off snap to the block's insert point mode. |
| • | Options  button on the toolbar or [Tools > Options] menu command calls Options dialog box. It consists of the following tabs: |
| o | Common - selecting language, Close on options, mouse scaling and navigating options. |
| o | Visualization - split parameters for arcs and splines, Lineweight options, border around CAD images and rotating parameter for HPGL files. |
| o | Converting settings - file size parameters for saving to the file and coping to the Clipboard, JPEG conversion options. |
| o | Units - drawing units parameters. |
| o | Associations - list of the file extensions which ABViewer supports. |
| o | Fonts - SHX fonts settings. |
