If ABViewer has not been translated to your native language yet or is translated only partly, you can help us in this. Translate the TXT or the XML file and get a FREE user license for ABViewer Enterprise.
To avoid confusion, before you start translation, please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in the form below and state the language you are going to translate ABViewer in as well as the name of the file for translation. In this case, we will be sure that ABViewer is not being translated into the same language by 2 different persons at the same time.
Also, you can translate the xml file if the txt files are not available for now. In any case, please, contact us for further instructions concerning ABViewer translation.
How to Translate the TXT Files
The TXT file is divided into several parts for every language; each of them contains text strings and sentences used in the software interface, e.g. the Open command on the File tab.
At the moment ABViewer is fully translated into the following languages:
Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
While the translation, please follow the simple rules:
- Do not translate the text in front of the '=' character
- Do not translate the string if it begins with '#' – this is a comment
- Do not translate the text enclosed in square brackets ([ ])
- Do not delete characters like %s, %d, %CRLF% - these are variables
How to Translate the XML File
The XML file contains hints that appear when the cursor is pointed at a command in the ribbon. It can be edited in any text editor.
