Feature request: Display file properties

DWG has the "Autocad File properties" like Author, Comment, Keyword, user defined entries" and so on.

Regarding a new picture-plugin for TC which displays picture AND file-properties (EXIF, pixel, IPTC, ...) I think it would be a great function for CADview if it can display file properties too.

Thank you for the interesting idea. Did you meant implementing file properties displaying for CAD files like DWG or all vector graphics formats? And also which properties you want to be displayed? Please send your request with these details to info@cadsofttools.com if you need such functionality in your works. Please contact to this mailbox if any functional request with our products. Your request will be considered by our management. However if the requested functional is highly tailored or currently not priority then such task can be fulfiled as a custom development for a price.

take a look at the following pages - there are tools which works with the "AutoCAD file-properties". And it would be fine to combine this data with the display of the drawing itself.

These tools designed for working with AutoCAD DWG/DWT formats. However CADView plugin supports a set of vector graphics file formats. Some formats have major differences. For example the SVG file doesn't contain information about author. Please specify which properties you want to see with the CADView plugin or maybe you interested in properties of some specific formats?

I can not speak for the other users, but I use 99% DWG files. So I am interessted in displaying the metadata which I mentioned in the links. Of course there are many ohter kinds of metadata (standard like IPTC and XMP and semi-standard like Windows-stream ...), but maybe the greatest of the users need Autodesk information.
