Cadview crashes TC

Post by Peter » 02 Dec 2013, 04:27

I upgraded from version 8 to 9 some days ago and had no problems, while the registration-alert was displayed all the time. Now I entered the registration, and the files are displayed immediately. Fine.

But when I quit Cadview it crashes TC without any message. The "application" disappears from task-manager, but the "process" stays alive. Every next crash kills the application and stays the process (I had seven totalcmd.exe-processes)
This happens when I have Ctrl-Q and

a) click another file then DWG. The closing of Cadview and the calling of another Viewer-plugin seem to crash it.
or
b) press Ctrl-Q again to close the Quickview
or
c) started a viewer-window with F3 and cancel it with ESC.

If I hoover the mouse over an icon, it try to display the tooltip - but the CADview-windows goes to the background, and the tooltip is only a small shadow which stays on top of all other applications too.

If the window does not go to the background, all tooltips of the icons (F3 or Ctrl-Q) are displayed on the same position. (see attachment)

I use TC 8.01 x32 on a Win 7 x64 machine, display Zoom 125%.

EDIT:
Setting display to 100% removes the shadows and the flying tooltips of the main icons, but the crashes and the flying tooltip of layer-dialogue still exist.

Hi Mikhail

the crashes and the shadows seem to be gone - fine.
But have you disabled all tooltips?

And now I see always the button for "Registration" in the toolbar? I don't have the popup-dialogue for registration and and don't have the "watermarks" when viewing files, but it comes - I make registartion - it goes - I close the viewer - I start the viewer - button is here again

TC x32

Hello Peter,

We have disabled all tooltips, but descriptions for the toolbar icons are displalyed in the status bar. Also we confirm the problem with "Register!" button on the toolbar, we will fix it.

Thank you for the remarks!
