Measuring with ABViewer Standard?

Hi, this is an absolute beginner's question:

No matter what I try, I'm not able to measure the distance between two points in a .stp file - the measuring tool is greyed out all the time, although it is described in the online help file.

Is this a feature of the professional version only (and if so, can I upgrade from the standard to the professional version?) or do I just s.th. wrong?

Hello Ron.
ABViewer uses an additional library for IGES/IGS and STEP/STP formats import. Drawing imported as single image, without accessing to structure. Because of this measure tools can't be used with STP files.

I just purchased ABViewer Pro assuming the grayed out Measure tools would bcoem available. I only use STEP and if I cannot measure I cannot work. I read as much info as I could before ordering on your website and nowhere did I see that STEP files cannot be measured. I respectively ask for a solution or refund. Thank you.

Since there is an additional IGS and STP file library needed to measure either file type, is that downloadable? Is there an additional cost for that, as well?

I did download the files, ran the setup, etc., but still have no capabilities to measure the iges files.
I did get the same file from my customer in .dxf format and it automatically was able to measure as well as turning on and off snaps, etc. so I recognize what I am looking for on the iges files ... I just don't see it. Am I still missing something? I have closed the ABViewer program twice, but it's still not picking up these "new" capabilities.
Any further suggestions?

Sorry my inattention. The plugin used to import files of the mentioned formats. It doesn't provide the measure feature. We have developed both IGES and STEP formats direct import. We plan to release the feature soon. It is available as beta currently:

Thank you for the link. I downloaded the beta version, but it is not going to give me what I need. Can I cancel the "subcription", uninstall the product and get my money refunded? It was a good try, but not what I need.
